Halloween Fun in the City
Halloween is right around the corner, and if you are going to be in and around San Francisco, here are four of our favorite activities::
- First on the list is the Halloween Pumpkin Patch. There are actually a few different places you can go to in the Bay Area, but one of our favorites is up in Nicasio Valley. Each year they put on a great pumpkin patch with plenty of fun farm activities for the kids to do during the daytime hours. The best part of all is that the creamery is right on the property so cheese tasting can also be on the menu of activities to enjoy while you are there.
- Second, would have to be the ZOOtoberFest that goes on each weekend at the San Francisco Zoo. Kids will love the San Francisco’s largest hay maze along with plenty of other fun Halloween themed activities and German-themed foods at the Zoo Brew Haus. Come between the 28th and 29th of October and kids can Trick or Treat around the Zoo during “Boo at the Zoo”.
- Another Bay Area classic would have to be the famous Winchester Mystery House Tour in San Jose. Known to be one of the weirdest and most interesting places to experience during the regular season, the staff go all out during Halloween to create a truly Halloweenish atmosphere.
- Ready to Trick or Treat? San Francisco’s neighborhoods have some of the best areas to Trick or Treat in if you know where to go. One of the best popular locations is on Lake St between 10th Ave and 4th Ave. Neighborhood families go all out to decorate, dress up, and meet the roving Trick o’ Treaters with handfuls of candy and prizes. Come empty and you will leave with a full bag of treats. Come early though as some places can run out after 7:00 PM.
So there you have it, a few of our favorite Halloween picks to do this year while you are in the area. Have a great time, and Happy Halloween!
