Bugaboo 101: A family guide. Part 3

In part one and part two we talked about Bugaboo’s iconic original model Cameleon3 and the latest addition to the Bugaboo family, Buffalo. Let’s take a closer look to a unique and a very creative model: Bugaboo Bee3.

Designed specifically for parents who live life on the fly, the Bugaboo Bee3 for newborn to toddler features an easy-to-carry lightweight bassinet for exploring the city without disturbing your sleeping child with an extendable sun canopy offering them even more protection. This bassinet requires a little more attention, as it has a very unique design that has no competitors on the market up to date. It offers a full-size bassinet options in a compact stroller, giving a Bee3 an ability to function as a full-size stroller while remaining lightweight and compact.

Brand new fabrics and colors offer creative style combinations and refreshing options, while a larger under seat basket means more room for all your essentials. Don’t let the visual illusion of a small basket deceive you. While definitely a smaller one in comparison to a Buffalo, the basket in Bee3 still offers plenty of space for all parent-baby necessities.

The seat itself is unique and grows with your child – extending, reversing and reclining in just a few clicks. A one-piece fold with seat makes it easy to collapse, carry and store in the tightest of spaces onboard public transport in areas that require a folded stroller.

A height adjustable and extendable leather-like handlebar adjusts to accommodate parents of different heights (you can purchase an upgrade pack for your current Bee3 if you wish). A 5-point quick-release safety harness allows for easy adjustability even with a baby in it, which is very important for a proper seating position. There is no front bar in this model - many parents voiced their concern over this fact. However, there is an option of an accessory tray, which we personally found to be very useful. Not only it allows for snacks/water bottle to be in easy read for a toddler, but it allows to keep favorite toys for the younger ones within their reach too.

This is an excellent solution for city-dwelling parents and all those who would like to have a light and easy to travel with model that offers full-size stroller benefits. However, although it rides beautifully on standard city roads, if you live in the place where the road condition is less than desirable, this may not be the best option, and other models from the Bugaboo family may be a better fit. This is also a perfect model for everyone who is puling a stroller in and out of the car trunk regularly. Extremely light and compact, it fits in every trunk of even tiniest of the cars, and a one-piece folding and easy unfolding option make parent’s life much easier.

For those who are looking for a unique stroller option that could, quite literally, transform to be anything you wish it to be, let’s take a closer look at Bugaboo Donkey.
