3 Fun Things to Do With Play-Doh
I had so many people ask to share these tips here when I put up the post on Instagram with PlayDoh, so here are 3 of my favorite creative ways to use Play-Doh with kids to keep them engaged and have fun. Entertainment with these can literally last for hours!
Recreate an artist’s work:
Anything, from famous Almond Blossoms to works of lesser known artists. I piggy-back this with activities we do before/after museums. Great learning experience and lots of fun!
Act out a story:
A super-fun way to engage kids! Have them pick one of their favorite stories to create the characters from the story and act it out. This one is perfect for those rainy days indoors. It’s a wonderful way to really engage kids in the love of reading and interest to find books with fun stories to act out.
Play-doh wish list:
Kind of similar to what you would do with pictures, but I have kids create their “hearts’ desires”. Really fun for kids, but also helps me, as a mom, see what they are thinking. So, so, so infinitely helpful with tiny toddlers.
So those are 3 fun things that we have done with Play-Doh, and I can certainly share more. The important thing is having fun and finding those moments to learn as well.
