EVERYONE together! Can you find Elisey? Real life moment:
We’ve been so busy and focused on trying to finish the working year on a strong note, that when we officially set emails to OOO until January, ALL we both wanted to do was to spend as much time as we can with kids. Which typically would be a great idea.
Last Friday was our anniversary and we both completely forgot about it until my mom reminded me. All I can say, our “romantic” night out was pretty awesome, don’t you think?
What last 16 years turned out to be is NOTHING, absolutely nothing, like what I ever imagined my marriage and life would be like.
Never thought I’d marry a blonde, never thought I’d marry in my 20s, never EVER thought I’d be a mom to 7 kids, never expected to move all over US a million times, never thought I’d have to deal with 1/1000 of things that were thrown my way, but if given the choice, I would make the same choice 16 years ago, because I found my best friend. The type who you can talk to and share everything with without being judged. The type whose shoulder you can cry on without worrying about make-up running. The type you can laugh at and get mad just the same without losing the relationship. The type who “gets” you more than you get yourself at times and the type who you can just be “yourself” with without holding anything back.
Everyone has their own perfect idea of a marriage. Mine turned out to be nothing I envisioned it to be when I was a little girl. But it also turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.
If you are new, #livingnotes_howwemet had our story, if you are wondering
How did you meet your second half? Would you change anything?
PS: We also figured out yesterday that it’s not an easy task to get everyone in a selfie frame any more
