Breakfast in Bed
Yes, it’s Mother’s Day weekend, but for any mother out there, every day is Mother’s Day. As moms, we do so much. We not only take care of our families, but we have goals to achieve and personal aspirations to reach. In the midst of all that, the most important thing is to pass along the values and teachings to our children and hope that they can apply it and be prepared to go out and achieve their dreams.
Sometimes life can get a little challenging as we balance everything. I had a tiring week this week, and it looks like the lessons being passed along have been listened to because the kids really noticed how hard the week was for me.
The other day I was resting in bed, and while I did hear some noise and rumblings going on in the next room, I didn’t really know what the kids were up to. I figured it was just the usual routine of getting ready for the day. It was so touching to see them coming in through the door to surprise me with breakfast in bed and a tray with all of my favorite things. The girls cut me my favorite cheeses, put some grapes that I love, a flower, and decorated everything beautifully. I almost didn’t want to eat anything because it looked so beautiful, but Elia fixed that problem really fast. I figured all of us were better to share the breakfast before we are left with the things that Elia didn’t want, and given her love for cheese that wouldn’t be much.
It meant a lot to me that they really noticed and cared to make sure that I was being taken care of, and there isn’t anything to compare with those sweet little faces coming to give me kisses.
So, in the spirit of Mother’s Day, and together with Hanna Andersson, let’s all decide to give a little more and share what family is all about. After all, at the end of the day, the people that we have close around us are what matters the most.
P.S. Unfortunately my pajamas have already sold out, but I’m loving this one and this one from the Red White + Blue collection from Hanna Andersson isn’t it so cute? Evyianne’s hot dogs are just the best, and the older girls loved the striped pj’s
