4 Favorite Books on Pregnancy and Birth Preparation
Being a new mom for the first time, or even for the seventh has its own share of new experiences, and it always helps to have some good information to turn to for advice. Over the years I've probably read my fair share of books on the subject, and recently, I had a few requests for must-read books for pregnancy and birth prep. I think it would be great to share our favorites! what do you think?!
Here are some of the favs on my list:
- Grof’s basic perinatal matrices by Stanislav Grof: Groundbreaking for me. You will never look at your child again the same way. I applied his suggestions, the difference was huge.
- Expecting better by Emily Oster: This is a fresh look on all standard things pregnancy related. I think there are lots of great things!
- Mindful Birthing by Nancy Bardacke: I think is a good middle ground, mixing the alternative and using modern science and medicine.
- Hypnobabies course: It’s different from hypnobirthing. I personally love the “babies” a lot more and everyone I know who compared the two, agreed that hypnobabies has a better effect. But we all are different 🤗
What do you, guys, want to add? What was most helpful to you? I also loved pregnancy diaries - simple, but kept me happy. Anyone used those? Or apps?
