Safety 1st: Bringing a little Peace of Mind in the Home

Raising seven children in the home is never a dull moment, and many times I’ll be involved with one child doing an activity in their room, the little ones may be playing in the other room, and the baby can be sleeping in another. My usual go-to has always been to use a baby monitor to be able to keep track of what was going on in the other room, but having different monitors and remotes to view them, and setting up several piece of equipment does take its toll, so when the team with Safety 1st reached out to have us give their new HD WiFi Monitors for a test run, I was very happy to help.

Any parent will tell you that one of the best things that they can have at home is peace of mind to know that if they can’t be right there with their baby or toddler, they can know what is going on, without feeling like they are being overprotective. The Safety 1st Monitor really allows for us parents to have that security to know what is going on at all times. Those little toddlers need attention to make sure they stay safe just as much as a new baby learning to explore the world.

Here are a few of the features that I have loved so far about the Safety 1st Monitor

Ease of Setup

I am definitely the first person to admit that when it comes to anything tech-related, I usually end up passing that off to someone else, but for this monitor, it really is super simple to get everything up and running. You basically just plug everything in that comes in the box and download the app. It guides you with easy steps after that to get everything up and running. I think it took all of about 5 minutes to make sure that everything was up and running properly.

Sensitivity Control

This is something that I have really liked about the monitor. There are many times when I don’t want to get a stream of notifications when I know that the kids are just playing as normal, but if there is a loud noise or something, then I would want to know about it, and then there are many times when a baby is very little that you may want to hear every little movement, etc. You can easily change the sensitivity quickly in the app settings.

Sharing Moments

The monitor also has a very fun included feature that automatically records a 30-second video clip anytime a new notification is happening. This makes a really fun way to capture some candid moments of your children and review and share them if you like. It also can come in handy if you need to step out and you have a babysitter to watch the kids, you can review and check up on them as needed and see what was happening.

Access Sharing

For those times when I need to have someone else have access to the monitor when I’m not available, the app makes it very easy to input in a different person’s email address and choose what level of access they can have. They can easily have just view access without being able to adjust the settings, or if I need to give full parent access the process is just as simple.

Access Anywhere Through the App

My favorite feature of all though is that with the Safety 1st Monitor you control every through the App on your phone, which means that I can easily monitor and access the feed no matter where I go. As long as I have a data connection I can see how all my little ones are doing and know that they are safe.

Safety 1st has done a very good job to make a monitor that has all the functionality that you really need in a monitor, and they have made it very easy to customize and adjust the settings so you can tweak and adapt how you use it depending on what your needs are at the time.

Has anybody else tried out the new Safety 1st HD Monitor? What are some of your favorite features?
