5 Beauty Tricks to Help You Get Out the Door
I think we have all been in a situation at some point where you need to get ready quickly, but you want to make sure you are put together in the best way. It is rare these days where I have all the time in the world to get going, Here are five things I thought I would share - we all end up in such situations at least once, right?
Have a couple of make up bags, per your needs.
There is nothing worse for me than to be digging for something I need in a makeup bag full of things. I separate my makeup bags into “things for skin”, “things for eyes”, “things for lips”, and THEN I have a little “emergency” make up bag that has bare necessities in it, the duplicates of what I use every day, for the times when I REALLY don’t have time ( like today), but need to look good.
Have a clean skin canvas.
I know that everyone talks about this ALL the time, but I, too, will add that it DOES make a difference in how the face looks and how make up lays. And you want to look good on those crazy mornings.
Have a go-to outfit, better two.
I have 3 different go-to outfits that are always ready and I will pick one depending on what I do. Helps a LOT.
Have a few hair tricks.
If the hair needs to be done, I use the pony-tail trick: put my hair in a pony, make it look nice, and then i pull a couple of pieces around my face and style those. I cannot tell you how many times this trick alone saved me and make me look professional and put together, even if I had, quite literally, 5 minutes for it all.
Have a designated “messy stash” place or a drawer.
I feel a lot better and somehow more put together, when I know that my home is clean. I designate one place for all things that I don’t have time to put back and take care of it in the evening. I know everyone is different, but this really helps me to feel at ease and focus on important things, takes care of that scatter-brain energy too.
Do you, guys, want me to write what I do for makeup on such days? Tips and tricks there too?
What do you do when you have to run out of the door and have a couple of minutes to get ready? What’s your go-tos?
