If you are planning to head over here to the Southern California Sun this summer, here are 3 fun places that are perfect to be on your list:
While it may seem like an obvious choice, Universal Studios Hollywood really is all about family entertainment. If you have never been before, you are sure to be in for a treat. The best part about the park is that most of the entertainment value is not just from the rides. Sure it’s fun to experience them, and if you haven’t already experienced it, the Forbidden Journey in Wizarding World of Harry Potter is probably the absolute best ride we have experienced, but there is so much more to enjoy that is fun throughout the park itself. We’ll be sharing more on this in another article. A definite must to visit, and if you plan to come more than a few times a year, the annual pass makes a great option to look at.
Many people come to LA to experience the great beaches that it offers. One of the best beach areas to visit especially when you have little ones with you is the Santa Monica Pier and the Ocean Park area to the south of the pier. There is generally parking available the further away from the pier you go, and Ocean Park has playground areas and grassy fields to play and take a break from the sand when you want to. The beach cafe just off the park is available if you don’t want to bring food with you, but for those that do there are plenty of tables in the grassy areas to set up.
Beverly Hills is most well known for its top designer stores and expensive homes off Rodeo drive, but there is much more that this area has to offer for the whole family. There are plenty of shops to suit all different budgets and tastes, French themed cafes (Lauduree is top favorite of ours) and just off of Olympic Blvd and Roxbury you have one of the best playground and picnic areas to take the kids to unwind.
So whether you are in the mood for some amusement park fun, enjoyment by the ocean or all around shopping and relaxation, there is plenty that The LA area has to offer.
